Problem is even in the GOP, with Trump around, seems confused on nearly every issue what it means to be a conservative position vs not. Nobody can tell anymore.

Fox News' brand Republican isn't really real, I think that's a phantom. Especially with the big star Trump puppets there like Hannity, where whatever Trump says is the new reality, no matter how loony.

I.E., hardly anyone elected wants a wall, he wants a wall, so therefore wall is good. It's like he's captured the 1/3 of the population that used to be called conservative, which used to mean certain platform promises one could enumerate. Instead he is holding them hostage and they have Stockholm syndrome.

I'm not sure about the label, but Kennedy's rhetoric validates one of my pet theories: America needs a vibrant socialist movement so that progressives can position themselves as moderates.
