I had a similar experience when I had sciatic nerve pain. The pain was so intense but I couldn't find anyone to prescribe something for it.

These kind of stories drive me nuts because of my own anecdotals.

The last decade or so I sure could have used a dentist who gave out something stronger than Advil. How come I never ever came across a single one of these lax providers in my whole lifetime, neither in Milwaukee through my 2nd decade and in the subsequent decades, the NYC area?

It's not like I didn't scream about the pain. I just don't get it.
