I wish we had had more insight into this 2 years ago when people were ripping the TPP and complaining about globalization, not realizing we'd largely absorbed the ex-Soviet Union, East Europe, China & the Asian Tigers into the global competitive market and *still* decreased poverty by 1/2.

This is simply an incredible story, I would recommend anyone that doesn't have a WaPo subscription spend one of their monthly articles on this one!

One thing about it that hit me like a bomb: education is no longer the sole answer, if it ever was, it sure isn't now.
