Movies, op-eds & live appearances. I'd say the op-eds tend to be less starstruck as well.
Though he's also playing his shtick, a kind of non-partisan partisan, the everyman.
He's deliberately not fighting with his host. Is that a good successful strategy? A bit hard to say,
but I'm not sure we ask that of most people's encounters and interviews - we just hear what we
agree with and reject the rest.

Just FWIW, not on his politics, interesting to see you say that, as it's the same impression I've gotten from the cable news appearances I've seen. Almost like he gets a little bit like a starstruck little kid, fawning over the host and guests, trying to impress them. Some hyperbole, but not the self-aggrandizing type, more like a little kid. Narrating his movies, he's not like that.
