I also note that gluttony was one of the original seven deadly sins during the middle ages but later Catholic theologians did not make it a mortal sin, only a venial one! That said, having a luxurious and expensive piece of lox for "Friday fish fry" does really counter the whole idea of going without meat once a week.

Thu, 14 Mar 2019 01:35:17 +0000 artappraiser comment 265844 at http://dagblog.com Antiquated info - God http://dagblog.com/comment/265839#comment-265839
In reply to Mrs. Kelly reports Catholic

Antiquated info - God revealed himself to Joseph Smith of the Mormons to make lox "thick as the girth of a man's loins and long enough to please the consorts of his community, a task he became so enamored of they started calling him Lox Smith behind his back.

Wed, 13 Mar 2019 23:38:00 +0000 PeraclesPlease comment 265839 at http://dagblog.com Mrs. Kelly reports Catholic http://dagblog.com/comment/265838#comment-265838
In reply to Religious Freedumb: Lox in Stock and 2 smoking Barbels

Mrs. Kelly reports Catholic Jesus inspired her to ask for thick cut lox for a fish fry. “He spoke to me and said, ‘Mary, get thee some lox, and fry it up for the Church.’”

This is a complex issue and I could find no logical way to decide. So I sat down and prayed to Lutheran Jesus and he wrote 95 reasons why Catholic Jesus was wrong. It is now clear that Lutheran Jesus wants lox to be cut thin. I was instructed to nail the 95 theses on the door of the St Peter Roman Catholic church in NYC

Wed, 13 Mar 2019 23:26:27 +0000 ocean-kat comment 265838 at http://dagblog.com See, I told you you were a http://dagblog.com/comment/265837#comment-265837
In reply to Well I'm not a rocket

See, I told you you were a rocket scientist. I've also watch Babylon 5 a couple of times. That probably gives me a good foundation in quantum mechanics and multi-dimension physics. I could probably pass an ACT on The Physics of the Star Trek Universe. Unfortunately none of the science ACTs address this area of knowledge.

Wed, 13 Mar 2019 21:49:13 +0000 ocean-kat comment 265836 at http://dagblog.com Well you're the rocket http://dagblog.com/comment/265835#comment-265835
In reply to Perhaps they were only sold

Well you're the rocket scientist - I just rotate the headings on the Dagblog masthead - purely ceremonial, you understand (don't know nuttin' bout birf and rabies)

Wed, 13 Mar 2019 21:30:22 +0000 PeraclesPlease comment 265835 at http://dagblog.com Perhaps they were only sold http://dagblog.com/comment/265834#comment-265834
In reply to Everyone so crever these days

Perhaps they were only sold out in this space/time dimension.
