oops I didn't see you had posted this before I put Rick Wilson's pointing out teh stupid of it on my old thread on topic.

But ya know, it got me thinking that in his mind, it's not counterproductive, because the more migrants there are, the more his imagined narrative about national emergency appears real. And the wall, that's actually his ego, it has nothing to do with reality of protecting the country. What Trump wants to do is promote Trump's stories. And the most important stories are about him being a big strong smartest stable genius Superman able to MAGA and save the people, and to do that, he has to have invaders!
