In at least some States at one time the interpretation of "fighting Words" was that there were some things you could say to a man that justified him taking the first swing and beating the crap out of you. When the law or at least the interpretation changed so that whoever took the first swing was guilty regardless the verbal provocation, they then made it a form of assault to use that language that would have previously justified a punch in the nose.

A Texas man was arrested Tuesday after launching a racist tirade against an employee in an AT&T store in Friendswood, calling the employee a “f—king Arab” and boasting that he had been “killing his kind for almost 20 years.”

In a video recorded by another customer that quickly spread on social media, the man, who has been identified as 38-year-old Joey Christian, can be seen confronting the store employee [....]
