But this wasn't the first hack and it won't be the last. Again, there were hacks before these tools were created. Eventually these tools will be useless, but there will still be hacking. The NSA didn't cause the problem and they didn't fix it. Microsoft caused the problem with a flaw in their system. Microsoft fixed the problem as soon as they became aware of it. Your narrow focus on the NSA creating this tool and losing it misses the long term problem of hacking and even ignores the short term problem. That puts every citizen at risk. We don’t known if anything else got out. Why do some succeed? There were attacks before the NSA created tools. There will be attacks after they're rendered ineffective.
