Also Biden came to my mind from the figures on disapproval for both parties (see my comment below)...that he is pushing the "reach across the aisle" meme despite knowing many"progressives" disagree. I suspect that the meme still sells to the "a pox on both your houses" crowd. I.E., I can see many not buying the whining that it's all Mitch McConnell's fault that we don't have background checks, I suspect many think like this: we hired you, we pay you, we don't want to hear excuses like that, your job is to figure out how to make it work just like other grownups have to manipulate a crazy or compromised or crooked or prejudiced boss.
