Otherwise, the "fast" but small drones we're used to are max maybe 200mph & 200 miles if extremely lucky - aside from them hoping for small size to miss the now exceedingly better radars & other detection devices and the available countermeasures, they're sitting ducks.

(note that a bunch of speedy pellets can take out most, which harkens back to Reagan's "Brilliant Pebbles" space defense - how things don't change?)

I'd guess that's not really true, especially for a no-tolerance/no-fly zone - everything moving above 10 meters gets shot down over the facility, and anything moving gets shot down at the perimeter.

An airport's more difficult where you have to worry about false positives. (Gatwick had a big episode a few months ago)

Perhaps the most disturbing aspect of the drone strike on Saudi Arabia is the technological - it is very difficult to secure infrastructure like oil fields or other targets from militarized drones. Offensive capability will far outstrip defensive in the upcoming era.
