The was backlash when "only" 80% of the black vote went to the Democrats when GW Bush pushing an agenda that banned same-sex marriage, and this 80% was only in Ohio. Blacks in the rest of the country voted for the Democratic Presidential candidate in higher percentages than white voters.

Whites approve of same sex marriage in higher percentages than white voters. Fewer percentages of whites vote for Democrats despite the disparity on same sex marriage.
