An active shooter on Naval Air Station Pensacola is confirmed dead as are three victims, plus multiple injuries to others at the base, according to the Pentagon and Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

At a press conference Friday morning, Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan confirmed that the wounded include two officers, one shot in the knee and the other in the arm.

The officer shot in the arm was the one who killed the shooter, Morgan said. The other was in surgery Friday and both were expected to recover.

The shooting began in a classroom at the base, commanding officer Capt. Timothy Kinsella said. He would not say which building the incident occurred in or provide details about the shooter or the weapon used.

Morgan said the incident was confined to the building and the classroom[....]
