Agree with you on Crazy Rich Asians which I finally saw on cable a couple weeks ago. It was just an unsophisticated tacky terrible rom com (so much better quality out there in that genre!) Poorly edited, noticed lots of bad jerky segueways from romantic plot line to a thrown in antic comedy group scene here and there (which were as funny or NOT as like Pauly Shore.) Many other pans I could detail but the kicker was that it was just chock full of simplistic demeaning sterotypes about Asian traditions and "new modern" Asians. Compare it to like The Joy Luck Club at say a 10 rating, Crazy would be a minus 2. In a few spots it seemed as bad as something from the "Girls Gone Wild" franchise. Throw in some sex scenes and you'd have the plot of a soft porn flick.

While mainland and Hong Kong get all the news, the other Chinese people manage quite well. Of course keeping wealth abroad is in case China attacks (a patient inevitability?) Anyway, an antidote to Crazy Rich Asians is nice to see (awful movie, for one)
