This is excellent, thank you for pointing it out.

I agree with Zakaria that Bernie seems to be saddled by 60's-70's leftie think.

The most useful thing he does in this piece, though, is remind everyone that sales tax (or VAT) ends up paying for a lot of big government (as well as other misc. taxes like property tax) and this does not fall on the 0.01%.

It's the "and everyone gets a pony" syndrome.
