Have a memorial service later, forget the body, as hard at that would be, what else is there to do? Cremation or abandonment to potter's field.

Wed, 22 Apr 2020 12:55:56 +0000 artappraiser comment 280416 at http://dagblog.com Yes I have been following http://dagblog.com/comment/280394#comment-280394
In reply to Meanwhile mas graves on Hart

Yes I have been following that. I wonder what to make of the censorship attempts. Doesn't make sense. Because it's really been our "potter's field" all along for the unidentified dead and I don't see any reason to hide it from us unless 1) they are trying to hide numbers--in which case I question why, doesn't make sense, or 2) some clueless cop is trying to "protect" us from knowing how many people abandoned bodies because they didn't want to or couldn't pay for funeral services in this situation, or WHAT? Again, because people have been buried there all along, it's what it's for, it's a cemetery island:

....The remains of more than one million people are buried on Hart Island, though since the first decade of the 21st century, there are fewer than 1,500 burials a year...

Hart Island (Bronx) - Wikipedia

Wed, 22 Apr 2020 06:14:26 +0000 artappraiser comment 280394 at http://dagblog.com Meanwhile mas graves on Hart http://dagblog.com/comment/280393#comment-280393
In reply to Staten Island Immigrants Pivot to Mask-making after Job Loss

Meanwhile mass graves on Hart Island...
https://gothamist.com/news/nypd-seizes-drone-photojournalist-documenting...

Wed, 22 Apr 2020 05:53:00 +0000 PeraclesPlease comment 280393 at http://dagblog.com Taiwan, what a country!
