ETA: This, btw, is a feature, not a bug, for the fucking neo's. EG, Obama's agreement to extend the Bush Tax Cuts which were guaranteed to blow up the deficit without demanding a SIMULTANEOUS debt limit adjustment thus "dooming" himself to having to sign the disasterous sequestration provisions the next August.

(Spoiler alert: he even chortled about how he was boxing in his own left wing in the process, so he could set up the Grand Bargain with Boehner that only the Tea Party derailed.
