This study was similar to one from Nice, France halted because of abnormal heart rhythms. Both trials suffer from not having a control arm of standard care only (no one receives drug, only standard care). It hides the possibility that both groups treated with drug had a higher mortality than not treating with the drug in any dose.

oh look here's a JAMA paper about a clinical trial in Brazil of chloroquine (I remember Trump saying he was going to send Bolsonaro some because he was so interested!) The tweet says some human guinea pigs had "higher mortality. I haven't looked at it.
