I love Grant MacDonald's long rant on that first link you provide. (Note: that's sarcasm.) I'm an atheist myself, but it doesn't paint us in a flattering light when you create brand new unsubstantiated histories. E.g., who considered Emperor Constantine as the first pope? Where's any evidence that he fabricated it? (IIRC, there are documents predating him by more than a century that have most, if not all, of the elements of the Christian Bible. There are other documents of a similar age that partly contradict these, but their existence also invalidates the theory that Constantine invented Christianity.) How does the Pope have "blatant witchcraft"? (Maybe he was speaking figuratively, but given his other comments, perhaps he really believes it literally.)

(Just to be clear, that's not meant as any swipe against you.)
