Milwaukee man sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison for role in north side shooting

MILWAUKEE - A Milwaukee man was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison for his role in a shooting at Harbor Pointe Apartments on the city's north side in June 2019.

Eddie Marlow, 31, was found guilty at trial of one count of possession of a firearm by a felon on March 10. In addition to prison time, Marlow was sentenced to three-and-a-half years of extended supervision. He was granted credit for 423 days served.

Two victims -- women ages 23 and 27 -- were wounded after a physical altercation led to gunfire at the apartment complex near 76th and Brown Deer.

Marlow and one other suspect -- Quavon Marlow, a relative of Eddie's -- were charged in the shooting. According to a criminal complaint, both men were pepper-sprayed during an argument and both pulled out handguns, though the Quavon Marlow was the only one who fired shots.

Police: Milwaukee man charged, admits to killing woman, hiding body in garbage

MILWAUKEE - A Milwaukee man has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide for the death of a woman whose body was found near 11th Lane and Center Street on Saturday morning, Aug. 1.

Police said Robert Daniels, 36, of Milwaukee turned himself in, informing officers that he killed the woman and dumped her body in a City of Milwaukee garbage cart.

According to a criminal complaint, Daniels told officers that he "got into it with someone" and things got out of hand.

The complaint states that on Wednesday, July 29, he and the victim -- who he had known for years -- were together near 12th and Hadley and, as the night progressed, they got into an argument.

When the victim left, the complaint states that Daniels told officers he chased after her and eventually caught up to her near 12th and Center -- one block south [....]

'Lost contact with witnesses:' Felony murder charges dismissed in Milwaukee double shooting

MILWAUKEE - Felony murder charges were dismissed Thursday, Aug. 6 against two Milwaukee men accused of shooting two people, one who died, after making arrangements to buy at watch in January. Online court records showed the state was unable to proceed with the Aug. 10 jury trial because "the state has lost contact with witnesses."

The court granted the motion to dismiss.

The double shooting happened near 40th Street and Vliet Street on Jan. 18.

Christopher Goodvine, 39, and Antonio Young, 27, were charged with felony murder and second-degree recklessly endangering safety.

According to prosecutors, the victims, next-door neighbors, said they made arrangements to buy a watch from Goodvine. He, his neighbor, and the neighbor's cousin went to get it.
