Among many other things, a lot of people stressed it not only wrecked a lot of midwest farmers lives, but that it has been a devastating hit to the world's corn market. (See: ethanol for one thing, corn syrup sweetener for another, animal feed for another, etc....)</p> <p>Edit to add: hence another discussion about the world supply chain has ensued.
