He paid $750 in taxes.

Of note: He's white. Judging by the taxes he paid, he also makes decent money. And he still didn't get hospitalized much less get the $1.5 million treatment.

Like it or not, that is the current protocol, whatever your color of skin.

And yes, they make mistakes. A fever is not enough. Hard time breathing is not enough. People get sent home, maybe with an oximeter, and die there from like, a stroke or cardiac arrest. And Covid doesn't go on the death certificate. That is why the NYTimes has figured the deaths by comparing with above average death numbers from the previous year.
