Can we talk weird exciting American diversity that sometimes is far beyond simple words? Gifford, a Jewish/Christian Scientist, ex-CEO of family Tire business &amp; Price Waterhouse wonk who studied Mexican-American relations, switched from Republican to Democrat  in 2000 to run for office. And husband, Navy/Operation Desert Storm combat/NASA shuttle pilot (including after the shooting) who switched from Independent to Democrat in 2018.
