It's been a few weeks since I posted this and I'm still having my character and integrity questioned by people who hide behind "clever" nom de plumes. Let me say this one more time: I don't care what internet trolls think of me. I know me. I'm a real person who doesn't hide. I didn't hide in the streets and I don't hide online.

Some of you are so infatuated with being right that you miss a lot of things right in front of you. The post I wrote was tagged personal. This wasn't an obituary. This wasn't an attempt to relitigate a nearly two decade old incident. It was a composite of what I was feeling and what others expressed.

The moment I'm not wanted here is the moment I will gladly leave. Some of y'all are shells of your former selves. What kind of adult hides behind a an internet alias? Any man or woman to insecure to put their name on their opinions is no different to me than the alt-right trolls with Pepe the frog avatars.

Twitter has one really great tool for people who feel like he does: you can block other users from seeing your tweets and interacting with you. (You can also pretend to like them by following them back but "mute" their tweets so you never see them, so one never knows, so I am not making a claim one way or another.)

Maybe there are no lurkers and seven or eight regulars look back at a comment eight or ten times in thirty minutes or an hour or so even when there has been, so far, no indication of a followup comment.. My estimate intended to give great allowance to multiple hits by regular participants.

well I just looked at your comment. then I went elsewhere. then I thought about it and decided to come back to reply to your comment. that will make it 3 more clicks or page views. Then everyone else on the thread will come back to see what I said and that will make many more clicks...and as PP has noted many times, most of us don't use preview and edit our comments and posts a lot and each edit is a click, I didn't do that this time on purpose.. took my time and looked it over before I hit send, but I that's not usual, often come back after I post and edit.

I am not pushing anyone to do it, [It might well be tedious and time consuming] and not intending to make an issue of no one going to the effort. But I have been curious about the number and have made a little effort to inform my guess. This thread presented an example of my evidence/clues.

The site was not particularly active when I posted ny comment at 10:01 my time and the view count was 526 . Six minutes later it was 546. Then, four minutes later at 10:11 the count was 553. Then at 10:18 the count had reached 571. I realize that each time I checked I added one to the count but with no additional comments by that time there is no reason to think others clicked on the comment more than once. At 10:36 it took an unusually big jump to 658. So, anyway, I have done this a number of times to come to my estimate/guess. I will submit this, note the number of views when it hits and put that in a reply.
