especially because I think the media, most notably the pundit shows, does hype the culture wars issues, trying to squeeze every dime out of their potential to inflame emotions and keep people reading and watching (look at Al Jazeera's latest plans, for chrissake! guess Israel bashing just doesn't attract as large of an audience as it used to?)
