If Moon Over Alabama is sad, I'm ecstatic. The Carnegie site is pretty good. The result is largely status quo but standdown of military threat, which lets Kiev focus on EU/economics, Donbas - a tiny and less-and-less important coal district - is still in the doghouse but not a big threat, kick the can down the road. All good. There's no real strategic value to Russia taking Donbas. Mariupol is probably not worth the outrage (there'd be much more than with Crimea).

The point of those white marks (in general - I am not sure about this case) had been in Soviet Army and now Russian Army quite clear.

They were used always whenever the enemy had the same type of vehicles as friendly (such as in Prague 1968).
