sigh, yeah, Andy Ngo, he's like Trump with brains and on steroids, a criminal propagandist, he sometimes "appropriates" real stuff that might actually make a halfway decent point against this or that anarchist or anarchists and absolutely massacres it with lies, alterations, anything he can think of to amp it for max emotive propaganda purposes and get more clicks. Leaving the credibility of what once might have been interesting evidence totally totally destroyed. Realistically I'd guess few crimes are prevented by cops there, but high visibility makes crooks nervous, and catching someone quick just after is almost as good as being there.

I suspect that most Asian-American elderly would probably agee that it's not going to do anything, rather that it's symbolic, but they might appreciate the symbolic at a a national level at this point in time with irrational racial blaming going on with Covid and Trump statements recently fueling that.
