edit to add a p.s.: Rudy is taking Biden's comment out of context, OF COURSE. Look it up, Biden was basically saying inappropriate shit like that was what many national politicians unfortunately have to deal with unless they have 24/7 Secret Service protection. He wasn't defending it!

Our system sucks that way in general in so many ways.

For a different example, I do mostly buy the campaign finance argument that if campaigns are much shorter and publicly funded, a lot less people vote less based on personality, celebrity, role model and all that stupid crap that gets us in trouble and more on whether the person sounds qualified to do the work. It should be like a job interview, not like long-haul advertising building a brand for a product like a pickup truck, skin moisturizer or an airline.

I don't understand what leverage she has. Manchin, I get. But Sinema has a higher approval rating among AZ R's than D's, which is meaningless since they're still not going to vote for her. She's already become a pariah, blowing up the Dem agenda wld be political suicide..Huh?

Excepting that she may be thinking that in the future Arizona R's may actually vote for her, no matter which party (or none, like Bernie, he is still an "I' as far as the Senate goes) she runs under.

Especially if one considers what many have studied about the changing voting patterns of the demographic labeled "Hispanic" by the census. And the conservatively minded retiree population in AZ is quite large still?
