It's part of why countries like Morocco and Sudan accepted Israel overnight. Good luck changing it. All those western charity and aid efforts for Africa end up in someone's bank account too.</p> <p>You could send a whole bunch of people who think they know a lot better over there to show them the way but that was called <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/10/magazine/rhodesia-zimbabwe-white-supremacists.html">Rhodesia</a>. You could get someone to try to bring the continent together so that it wouldn't need to scheme as hard but that was Muommar Gaddafi. Both Rhodesia and Gaddafi's Libya had the highest standards of living in Africa for their respective time.</p> </div></div></div> Mon, 29 Nov 2021 05:06:43 +0000 Orion comment 312208 at http://dagblog.com China to take over Uganda’s http://dagblog.com/comment/312206#comment-312206 <a id="comment-312206"></a> <p><em>In reply to <a href="http://dagblog.com/link/china-cash-flowed-through-congo-bank-former-president-s-cronies-34872">China Cash Flowed Through Congo Bank to Former President’s Cronies</a></em></p> <div class="field field-name-comment-body field-type-text-long field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><p> </p><div class="media_embed"> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" height="" width=""> <p dir="ltr" lang="en" xml:lang="en">China to take over Uganda’s Entebbe International Airport for default on debt repayment.<br /><br /> China has rejected Uganda's request to re-negotiate toxic clauses in the $200m loan picked six years ago for the Airport expansion.<br /><br /> The Airport is the only Intl Airport in the country. <a href="https://t.co/EXkYwFBG6y">pic.twitter.com/EXkYwFBG6y</a></p> — Tanzania Updates (@TanzaniaUpdates) <a href="https://twitter.com/TanzaniaUpdates/status/1464152041757069321?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">November 26, 2021</a></blockquote> <script async="" charset="utf-8" height="" src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" width=""></script></div> </div></div></div> Mon, 29 Nov 2021 01:11:57 +0000 artappraiser comment 312206 at http://dagblog.com
