Odd, I'd always heard chicken shit as "cowardly", but seems "worthless" is an accepted definition in some places.

So what did you or someone else debunk of my claims? I know, you think the Harvard / USC lawyer doing prior work for internationals disqualifies him de facto. But it really doesn't look good when an activist bribes judges and otherwise fakes evidence. As for the Maté stuff, "chicken scratch" comes to mind.

Since the article cited doesn't elaborate on which of those Southern & Midwestern cities, it's nearly impossible to compare the conditions & how they actually affect crime rates, policing, homicides, low-level interactions. What makes an "average city" vs one with the "largest population of Black people", or is it coastal large cities vs inland ones - but instead of acknowledging the author's statement that we need to study this issue more to understand it - rmrd just draws his own conclusion, "education and jobs" - which could be right, but there's no logical backing for this, just more cant & incantations & wishlists & slogans while ignoring actual discussion of the problems of a huge increase in crime everywhere, and what has been *proven* to help, in *which circumstances*, et al. - i.e. one size doesn't fit all, as Malcolm Gladwell pointed out in the Kansas City experiment and suggested here as well - certain types of policing can fit a trouble spot bot not fit a calmer location, and vice-versa. Why can't we discuss issues like this without misleading blanket pretend panaceas? And if we're going to discuss "education and jobs", let's discuss - it's not like money hasn't been poured into initiatives - which ones actually worked, showed results? Which are still unclear/the jury's still out? etc. Adult analysis & discussion, an end to subtlety-free agendas.

Not sure what "chickenshit" has to do with it - the callousness of comparing many deaths of kids through stray bullets this last year with a paucity of shark bites was just the last straw - just dismissing with ridicule & ridiculousness a real current concern even non-parents can feel - this is an endless stream of childish, misleading, distracting comments that keep us from having real adult discussions over the various issues. Using % rather than raw numbers to distract from the inconvenient fact that Dem vs GOP county population in California is something like 20:1 or 50:1 is another straw. I already debunked the claim that some city saw crime go down after defunding (cherry picked trough I think that caught a lull in early pandemic, but whatever, the numbers showed they went and re-hired a bunch of police staff or augmented with county officers to make up for gaps - contrary to the claims of savings - was another straw. They just keep piling up. Your nonsense at least tends to be on 1 thread so we can at least respond in one place. This race disinfo or cheerleading is splattered all over the site, and constantly distracts from the topic being discussed [e.g. a particular race issue related to crime in Milwaukee or a black journalist in Tokyo doesn't have to lead to another regurgitation of MLK & the Civil War as so often happens].

Black killings tend to happen in specific areas of urban cities. You are unable to internalize that fact.

Really, a basic factoid taken from Kansas City policing that i pulled straight out of Malcolm Gladwell 2 years ago, noting that crime hits parts of streets, not even whole streets, and upping policing on these critical street corners and hot spots makes much more difference than treating people (blacks especially of course) like criminals elsewhere has a much greater effect on bringing down crime rates, and blacks even understand the smashball focus on these evil crime-ridden locations - as long as they're not abused elsewhere.

I note that John McWhorter and Glenn Loury have the same low personal fear of crime.

They have actually created "Omar" as the stereotypical high-risk neighborhood dweller that they fear will come to harm.

Their own kids are not considered high risk.
