Obviously Venice Beach release is a seriously lucky turn after th Manhattan debacle.

But still it seems very suspicious that all this came about in such rapid succession - Nike suddenly good guy? Bill Barr helping arrange a strange stay at MCC? How did Michael Cohen do once he crossed Trump? Yet Trump never suffers. Illegally uses campaign money for whatever, but gets a pass.

I just got around to reading this, thanks for posting it.

One takeaway: geez he really is a tough old coot! Especially hit me with the jail/prison stories. No whining, no looking for pity. (At the same time, many from NYC this time of year and with covid isolation again in play, would jump at the chance of being "jailed" in a Venice Beach 2-bedroom apartment with a backyard. Not that he's asking for pity, but...)
