He's certainly much lower scum than Avenatti, over decades, come-to-Jesus moment or not. He didn't go to jail for that part - but it's as bad as his taxi scams and what-not. Avenatti rescued Stormy's chances of any public revival, including after the authorities set her up in Cleveland. She seems greedy, lucky and totally self-absorbed, which is par for whatever her profession is exactly. But she must have been a royal pain to work with through a PR/court cycle. Maybe Avenatti got greedy, but you can at least see some good value in what he was doing, for her at least - his wheelchair client also seems confused, not to preclude wither messing up facts and/or being taken advantage of But Cohen was just a conman-cum-Godfather's consigliare. Certainly shouldn't be throwing stones at his former adversaries - lucky he spent so little time in jail, considering whatever cooperation he did AFAIK didnt yield any convictions - even CFO Weismann(?) is still free. All very Shakespearean, both of them.

Fri, 04 Feb 2022 22:35:49 +0000 artappraiser comment 313739 at http://dagblog.com Avenatti found guilty. These are only three examples from a long list of atrocities drawn up by the attorney general in Frankfurt.

Alaa M. is alleged to have committed his acts of torture in a prison of the military intelligence service as well as in military prisons in Homs and Damascus. In 2015, Alaa M. came to Germany to work as a doctor. The 38-year-old practiced in several hospitals — until he was arrested in June 2020.

The trial comes on the heels of a landmark decision: Last week, a German court found a Syrian former army colonel guilty of crimes against humanity, handing him a life sentence [....]

Tue, 01 Feb 2022 09:45:20 +0000 artappraiser comment 313620 at http://dagblog.com
