Yeah, society doesn't have the right to lock up 1 million Uyghurs in forced-work camps either.
It's all the same thing, we can't digest *margins* of loss of freedom vs wholly unacceptable examples.
Yet I seem to recall my kids couldn't go to school without a vaccine certificate long before Covid, and there were no trucker protests or what-not. Were we all sheeple? (I didn't recall 1 of 10 kids having measles in my idyllic childhood, but on Feb1 the US had nearly 30 million of 330 million infected.)
Apparently concerns about HPV vaccine side-effects have consistently risen, despite no increase in adverse reactions (<2 per 100,000, or 758 serious cases over 4 years) - draw your own conclusions whether it indicates some larger trend in society. But of course "you might get these types of cancer" isn't quite as in-your-face as "you know 1/6 of France is infected with this right now?" I guess 1 door closes, another Overton Window opens.
