There's various good news+bad news on that they'd - people will tend to grab the bits that reinforce their ideas if course. One issue often ignored is disposing the less efficient solar panels as more efficient goes online. While we panic over nuclear, think of a solar equivalent to plastics in the ocean - yum. But maybe with COVID or changing energy patterns there is more investment.
