And that shouldn't be the case. I dunno how to solve it, though. Elected school boards have the problem of pandering for votes, but appointed officials have the problem of pandering to educational theorists where institutions have been overtaken by radicals right or left.

Fri, 20 Jan 2023 19:23:17 +0000 artappraiser comment 323577 at http://dagblog.com Horrid - list was received http://dagblog.com/comment/323574#comment-323574
In reply to good question inspired by

Horrid - list was received from Focus On The Family, and the school board head just checked to see if any books were on the religious jackasses' list

4 from Toni Morrison, 3 from Steven King ffs, 2 already old Anne Rice vampire books, and then Margaret Atwood's Handmaid's Tale? This is true through many mayoral adminstrations and decades of waning and waxing of numbers of homeless on the streets. (Also should be noted: it is very rare to see any kind of homeless families on the street at night in NYC - it is virtually ALL single individuals. Families don't risk being on the streets at night.)

So I am VERY open to the argument that many of the homeless on the streets of California cities are recent transients from other states - they go there for the weather! So they can stay outdoors instead of going to a shelter! (Heck I would make the same choice!) And they have many more subsidies than elsewhere, so moving there if a homeless person can manage it, via Greyhound or whatever, is a smart choice for them.

Wed, 11 Jan 2023 22:04:27 +0000 artappraiser comment 323376 at http://dagblog.com The main reason San Francisco http://dagblog.com/comment/323375#comment-323375
In reply to [Woke narratives] real life bias?

The main reason San Francisco lacks sufficient homeless shelters, and leaves psychotic people on the streets, is because of @fbach4 pic.twitter.com/6mciJinyWr
— Michael Shellenberger (@ShellenbergerMD) January 11, 2023

Wed, 11 Jan 2023 19:30:02 +0000 PeraclesPlease comment 323375 at http://dagblog.com
