Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan has resulted in “multiple casualties” from the security forces and the adjacent police station, all attackers have been killed and subsequent search operation is under way, official sources told the Khorasan Diary

The initial explosion was caused by a vehicle full of explosives around 3:30 AM in the morning. There was presence of a large number of troops, the source confirmed. “The initial assessment was of 6 fatalities and 14 injuries but a real picture will emerge after the search operation ends” a security official from Dera Ismail Khan said.

The relatively unknown militant organisation, Tehrik-e-Jihad Pakistan (TJP), who has claimed some of the major attacks in Pakistan, claimed the attack. The spokesman of the group, Mullah Qasim while terming it a suicide mission (Fidayein) attack said it was carried out by Mawlawi Hassan Gandapur.
