Congrats on the new addition to the clan! I think it's not the number of cats but how much they have you wrapped around their finger that puts you in crazy cat lady territory. If McCain starts allowing folks to claim pets as dependents, I'll canvass for him!

Nice use of the new tools! I'm all for universal pet health care. I have a sneaking suspicion that my dog would eat the entire spool of thread. I discovered this morning that he had chewed up my bank card. Grrrr.

Aww! Dij, I'm so glad Smokey won and has now fully recovered!

An injured neighborhood stray cat showed up at my house a few weeks ago, and I ended up spending an unholy amount of money on surgery and follow-up vet visits, so I could be persuaded to vote for the guy who offers universal pet health care too. I have three cats now! (How many cats do I have to adopt before I become a "crazy ass cat lady"?) I could easily end up broke and on the street from paying for kitty health care.

Btw, Seth Meyers reported on another instance of outrageous kitty care (and the typical accompanying kitty gratitude):

"A woman in England paid over $17,000 for her cat to spend six days in an oxygen tent to cure his paralyzed larynx. The cat showed its gratitude by briefly holding eye contact."

HAH!
