I imagine the foil hat nike wearing people will have fun hanging out with their craziness; however it won't change the facts that you have no jurisdiction or mandate to do what you are suggesting.

That was sorta my point in asking how "so many lawmakers" could be so obtuse.
In your own post on this issue, you refer to Iran's "paranoid regime."
You do know the adage: "Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you."
Iran has shown astonishing restraint in the face of daily and/or weekly skirmishes, assassinations and bombings.
They clearly don't want war with the U.S.
I fear the White House interprets this as cowardice and weakness, and license to push the envelope some more.
They may well push too far.
