I am tired of that sort of weak, rear guard action approach. We cannot do worse than what this approach has brought us over the past 40 years. We are far more likely to achieve real reform, universal coverage, and cost savings by working for what we are for instead of simply working for what we think we might get if we compromise enough with an opposition that gives nothing and will never relent in it's attempt to undermine what we are trying to do. It is, in short, a failed approach.
