The Obama campaign has sleepwalked since June and allowed the momentum and the message to be controlled by McCain. Obama comes off as another John Kerry. If doesn't change that right away, he will never be President of the United States.

Mon, 15 Sep 2008 22:33:42 +0000 oleeb comment 19749 at http://dagblog.com Link? Because these number appear to be entirely bogus. I can't even find the first question you list on the Sept. 12 Newsweek internals. And on the second question, the number for Obama is 47 (compared to 46 for McCain), which is up a few points from previous numbers.

http://www.newsweek.com/id/158636?tid=relatedcl

Mon, 15 Sep 2008 08:41:45 +0000 bdh comment 19748 at http://dagblog.com There's probably very little http://dagblog.com/comment/19747#comment-19747
In reply to Americans don't want a Professor: they want a strong leader!

There's probably very little bs on this one when you consider the internals of the latest Newsweek poll, as reported on Meet the Press today.

Does he have strong leadership qualities needed to be President? They drive me nuts! I decided that people want an alpha male as President and that Obama doesn't convey that imagery. But then I rethought - could anyone in their right mind see Bush as an alpha male?

But I agree with you that ever since Ohio he's not inspired confidence.

I guess it now all comes down to whether issues matter more than the man. If they don't, he's never going to get his mojo back.

Mon, 15 Sep 2008 07:40:19 +0000 Fran comment 19746 at http://dagblog.com calling "bs" on this one http://dagblog.com/comment/19745#comment-19745
In reply to Americans don't want a Professor: they want a strong leader!

calling "bs" on this one

Mon, 15 Sep 2008 07:26:47 +0000 workingclasszero comment 19745 at http://dagblog.com Man, can we knock this crap http://dagblog.com/comment/19744#comment-19744
In reply to Americans don't want a Professor: they want a strong leader!

Man, can we knock this crap off already?

Mon, 15 Sep 2008 07:11:23 +0000 bdh comment 19744 at http://dagblog.com The attacks against Obama http://dagblog.com/comment/19743#comment-19743
In reply to Americans don't want a Professor: they want a strong leader!

The attacks against Obama that McCain has carried out for months now have, to a large degree, had their desired effect.

Oh, dear.
