Ah crazed, your posts always draw a very conflicted response from me. On one hand, I admire your excellent writing and read your posts with interest. On the other, I shudder a bit at the dark colors with which you paint people into demons. It is not demons I fear but Arendt's "banality of evil," not a scheming bloodthirsty villain but an overzealous intelligence agent. It is human nature to see demons where there are only people and to fail to see that people are capable of conscientiously committing the evil that we attribute to demons.
