Wolfrum’s Morning: World AIDS Day</a></em></p> <div class="field field-name-comment-body field-type-text-long field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><p>I miss my friend and I wish she had lived long enough to be able to take advantage of the meds they have to manage HIV. She died in 1995, her quilt, the one I made still floats around the country, I look at the things she left for me every day. She didn't get the opportunity to be in this world for long enough and there has been a hole in the psyche of the world with her loss. She told me she was infected in 1989. Back then, it was bad, her parents basically disowned her. It hurt her, I think it helped shorten her life, stress can have that affect.
