But just for the sake of argument here, might it not be used by a potential candidate or political movement as a point of reference? It would establish an alternative to the present corruption and the madness that the oligarchs inspire in our present politics. I know. An Alternative to our one party system? What a concept!</p><p>Say what you will about Bernie Sanders' "socialism." But the sense I have is that the fancy suits and gucci loafers from K Street don't darken his door very often, checkbook in hand. And unlike Dodd and the rest, I don't anticipate him "retiring" into a cushy job as a shill for the corporate interests who now own Washington.
