As great as DADT repeal was, it only showed what a real Senate could do, and did only because of the pressure put upon them.

I attempt to bring up one of your points at least a couple times a month.

SPEAKER PELOSI DID HER JOB. I feel the Speaker was the single most important member of Congress over the last decade.

And everytime someone attempts to tell me that the repubs and the dems are the same, I point to her as well as her team.

The House of Representatives did its job.

The Senate did not.

Bravo Mr. Barth. To the extent that we can use this as one of our starting points from which to begin our political discourse about how do we go forward, the better off we will be. Thanks for articulating so well some of the insane Senate "reality" that has where we are today.
