I would like to see more on this. Also, would like to know what kind of criteria they use to judge success for each individual student. For instance, how would this work with the student who wanted to waste time or who didn't know how to manage their time. In one sense I could see how this would be a good opportunity to give individual guidance to each student but you first have to realize that this is what the student is doing. Overall though I find this intriguing. As someone who didn't quite get the lecture-type education that is prevalent in most schools I would have welcomed this approach.

Mon, 03 Jan 2011 02:16:45 +0000 emerson comment 100926 at http://dagblog.com Amen... http://dagblog.com/comment/100319#comment-100319
In reply to Well as they say. And to know that there is at least one place on the planet where this is happening—and in a "school!" What a contrast to the current autocratic proficiency testing inanity—"race to the top!" What a breath of fresh air!
