Different outlets give varying degrees of support to the theory, but websites highlighting the Tunisian-related cables were indeed the primary targets of censorship by that government.

Somewhat related. Have you noticed that the places where unrest is unfolding seem to closely mirror where we apparently take people snatched off the streets for torture interrogation? What an odd coincidence.

Sat, 29 Jan 2011 10:14:06 +0000 kgb999 comment 104620 at http://dagblog.com What the wikileaks docs say http://dagblog.com/comment/104614#comment-104614
In reply to On Egypt

What the wikileaks docs say about relations between the Obama admin.and the Mubarak regime according to the NYT yesterday:

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/28/world/middleeast/28diplo.html

Sat, 29 Jan 2011 08:20:20 +0000 artappraiser comment 104614 at http://dagblog.com The Gaza jail has 2 gates, 2 http://dagblog.com/comment/104522#comment-104522
In reply to I feel like there's a whole

The Gaza jail has 2 gates, 2 jailors, both in the pay of the USA. If they now get the idea that his site is responsible for "promoting democratic ideals where dictatorships flourish", then that should help him, I would think. Granted, I'm not great at understanding the "average Joe" (I really didn't think they'd re-elect Bush), so take it with a huge grain of salt.

Fri, 28 Jan 2011 20:58:14 +0000 Verified Atheist comment 104514 at http://dagblog.com positive w/me, but he doesn't http://dagblog.com/comment/104512#comment-104512
In reply to That's a very interesting

positive w/me, but he doesn't need that; (I love this guy!) pos. w/those who find him a pain in the ass? not so much.

Fri, 28 Jan 2011 20:54:25 +0000 jollyroger comment 104512 at http://dagblog.com That's a very interesting http://dagblog.com/comment/104510#comment-104510
In reply to On Egypt

That's a very interesting take, and one that could definitely give Assange some positive PR.

Fri, 28 Jan 2011 20:48:54 +0000 Verified Atheist comment 104510 at http://dagblog.com
