I have to say, not having any children, nor being familiar with our schools these days, that what you say definitely agrees wholeheartedly with what I've learned from my eldest niece, who is a high school English Lit teacher. Over the holidays, she and my sister were discussing the standardized testing -- or should I say, they were complaining about it -- and everything you've brought up in your post rings true based on what I heard from them. I don't know the answers but I do strongly believe there has got to be a better way. Our students deserve much better than this. </div></div></div> Sat, 29 Jan 2011 01:28:12 +0000 LisB comment 104581 at http://dagblog.com
