Stud Packer corner Charles Woodson has come out for the public employees.

I'm tellin' ya--the 2 things I could see as most likely to tip a few Republican senators' votes the other way are:

*Aaron Rodgers comes out for the public employees.

*Executive Board president of the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Association head Tracy Fuller goes very public in explaining why, after having supported Walker's bill, his organization is now strongly opposing it. GOP senators and Dem senators alike like to have the police on their side.

Now if Aaron Rodgers came out in support of the unions, that probably would tip it.

More assults on public employees and their unions to come on the near horizon in Ohio and Michigan, among other places, to follow.

A breakout of Egypt-envy in this country would be timely about now.

So the response to the deplorable and at least partly avoidable long-term decline in economic security for everyone not truly wealthy in this country seems to be--instead, of, say, tweaking some of the pension regulations to eliminate selective abuses--is: let's include everyone. Brilliant. What a country. In the context of what has not happened to those responsible for the financial crash, along with the dominant trends in public policy for, oh, the last 30-35 years or so, it's class warfare, all right.

Now if only the Packers were
