Our goal is to make the gathering look as greedy and goonish as we know that it is, ding their credibility with the media and exploit the lazy reporters who just want dramatic shots and outrageous quotes for headlines. Even if it becomes known that we are plants the quotes and pictures will linger as defacto truth.

(5) we will approach the cameras to make good pictures… signs under our shirts that say things like “screw the taxpayer!” and “you OWE me!” to be pulled out for the camera (timing is important because the signs will be taken away from us) (6) we will echo those slogans in angry sounding tones to the cameras and the reporters. (7) if I do get the ‘in’ I am going to do my darnedest to get podium access and take the mic to do that rant from there…with any luck and if I can manage the moments to build up to it, I can probably get a cheer out of the crowd for something extreme. . .

You know not what you talk about when you speak of "protestors who trash the Capitol."

I have been there when the organizing committees have met. Included in this is a tremendous group of volunteers (mostly young students, by the way) who are assigned littler patrol and who use the rags and mops and buckets and brooms they bring with them to sweep and wash down the floor of the rotunda and the hallways and whatever else needs to be cleaned. Meanwhile, the litter patrol of the grounds is easy duty, mostly because the protestors quite rightly treat this site as a shrine to their democracy.

The place has remained spit-shined and polished throughout this massive protest, now more than a week long. Someone's gotta' do it. Otherwise, the public employees in charge of the janitorial service at our Capitol would never feel comfortable taking a sick day so they could join the protest. ;O)

There's a book out there, called Rules for Radicals, that outlines exactly that.

That's very interesting, since Alinsky never doubted that merely confronting his opposition with the *truth of their own failure to conform to the standards they articulate would bring them to their knees--you wouldn't care to cite your authority for this statement (not a quote from Beck, mind you, my chickenshit anonymous interlocutor, but from Alinsky, with authoritative provenance.).

I hope you realize that Mark Williams said that as a play on what liberals have consistently done in the past, especially in the last 2 or 3 years. There's a book out there, called Rules for Radicals, that outlines exactly that. So really, don't act like he wants Tea Partiers to do that. (Hint hint in the thing he wrote: "Chances are that because I am publishing this they’ll catch wind..." Well duh. You liberals can be so dumb sometimes). I've been to a tea part rally, and everyone is very peaceful, has respectful signs, respectful chants, and cleans up after themselves and others. Unlike the protesters that have trashed the Wisconsin State Capitol. And real people who go to the tea parties would never do something like this anyways.
