Also, the complex has almost 10 times the <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/robert-alvarez/meltdowns-japan-earthquake_b_835121.html" target="_blank">radioactive material</a> of Chernobyl, including 'spent' fuel in the ponds, some with plutonium, not present at Chernobyl.</p><p>The irony is the back-up pumps failed because of flooding in the basement, while the cooling ponds are failing because they cannot get water on the roof.
