Nah; it's just control freaks running the show. He had joked about using his zoris to hang himself, and the warden hag put him back on the suicide prevention level that didn't require the shrinks to sign off on it.

Greg Mitchell has some run-down on communiques from Manning's attorney, including his concerns about 'treatment decisions' made for him; dunno if that means 'medical' or not. I watched the hastily arranged press conference announcing it; what a load of manure. I get that it had to be all excuses, equivocations, and bologna, but it was embarassing. Jeh Johnson--baaaaaaa!

Sounded like they might keep him in pre-trial confinement half of forever.

Manning is being held in maximum security in a single-occupancy cell at the Marine base, and he is allowed to wear only a suicide-proof smock to bed each night.

"A suicide-proof smock?" So that would be, like, a straitjacket?

Horrific, appalling and unconscionable. Wouldn't it be more effective to make his conditions less suicide-inducing?
